Access the iDAS commands

The following methods can be used to access Devotech iDAS commands:

Ribbons​

There are two types of ribbon sets available

Compact: The compact ribbon set contains all iDAS commands on a single ribbon with most of the commands available via drop-down menus.

Extended: The extended ribbon contains all iDAS commands on multiple ribbons. Each ribbon contains a group of similar command. Nearly all commands are clearly visible and very few drop-down menus are used.

See the next to sections for a sample of what the ribbons look like. The Switch Interface Command / Switch Interface Command can be used to easily switch between the ribbon sets.

Right-click menu​

Some objects offer Devotech iDAS commands in the right-click menu. The example below shows the Devotech iDAS commands that are available for horizontal alignments**:**

Command line​

Commands can be typed into the command line. Custom keyboard shortcuts can be set in the acad.pgp file. The list of all the commands is currently not available, the commands are continuously changing as the development is transitioning to a new programing environment.

Function keys: F12 can be used to reset the Devotech iDAS window position, see the following chapter for details.
