Description:
Converts AutoCAD objects like lines and polylines into a pipe network. It is useful in cases where old pipe network data is available in a .dwg format.

Instructions:
Objects which need to be converted into a network need to be on one layer. Either a new pipe network is created or an existing network is updated with new pipes and structures. Therefore, if you want to use your own network, it must be created before using this command so it will be available when using this method.
- Run the command.
- Specify the source data Layer, Network, Part List, Structure Group, Default Structure type, Pipe Group, Default Pipe type and click OK:

Then the Civil 3D is not connected to the correct Pipe Network Catalog. If your drawing is based on the Devotech Template, then use can use the link below to download the latest Pipe Network Catalog:

If the drawing contains pipe and structure styles which come from a different Pipe Network Catalog, e.g. company catalog, then you must connect Civil 3D to this catalog. If you no longer have this catalog, you must import appropriate part list(s) from the Devotech template and connect Civil 3D to the latest Devotech Pipe Network Catalog.
