Description:
Creates a sewer network from multiple objects (polylines or lines). It is useful in cases where old pipe network data is available in .dwg format, or if the designer sketched the network with polylines or lines.

A new pipe network is created using this command, and if you want to use your own network, then it must be created before using this command so it will be available when using this method.
If polylines are used as source objects, they must have a vertex where other branches connect, see arrows in the image below:

To adjust the pipe directions and to specify an outfall use the Flow Directions command.

Then the Civil 3D is not connected to the correct Pipe Network Catalog. If your drawing is based on the Devotech Template, then use can use the link below to download the latest Pipe Network Catalog:

If the drawing contains pipe and structure styles which come from a different Pipe Network Catalog, e.g. company catalog, then you must connect Civil 3D to this catalog. If you no longer have this catalog, you must import appropriate part list(s) from the Devotech template and connect Civil 3D to the latest Devotech Pipe Network Catalog.
