Export Band Settings Command

Description:

Exports profile view band set settings to an .xml file, it can then be imported using the Import Band Settings command. The information that is exported is the Profile 1, Profile 2 and Data Source values. These values are linked to the alignment name. Standard Civil 3D cannot copy band set settings between drawings or copy band sets to multiple profile views at the same time. The Export Band Settings command was developed to overcome this shortage by providing the ability to export and import band settings to another (or the same) drawing, see the following chapter.

Instructions:

1. Click on the command in the ribbon.

2. The command line prompts you to Select Profile Views. Select the profile views which data band settings you want to export.

3. A file save dialog will appear. Give the .xml file a name and save it.
