Colours (drawing template)

Devotech provides a CTB file (Colour-dependent plot style table) which can be used for the final plotting of drawings based on the iDAS template. This CTB file is stored in the Devotech iDAS Support Folder which can be accessed from the iDAS tab in the ribbon, with the Support Folder command:

This folder is saved in the following location:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\DEVOTECH.Bundle\Contents\Support\PlotStyles

The table below shows the colour numbers and the assigned thicknesses used in the CTB file for colours 1 to 9. Colour 9 is used for No plot objects. The major advantage of this approach is that the line thicknesses are clear even from the model space.

The image below shows the same road from the image above with the Devotech CTB file applied:

  • Slope pattern lines are red therefore the thickness is 0.18 mm, printed colour is black
  • Toe lines and ETW lines are green therefore the thickness is 0.35 mm, printed colour is black
  • Kerb lines and centreline are yellow therefore thickness is 0.25 mm, printed colour is black

The Devotech CTB file prints some colours in their original colours and some colours are printed in black or grey. The table below shows the list of the colours which are modified in the Devotech CTB file or used regularly:
