Layers (drawing template)

All the Civil 3D layers contain the "C3D" suffix to differentiate them from the other AutoCAD layers. The following picture shows some layers used in the template:

Simple objects' colour is taken from the layer colour, thus when the layer colour changes, the style colour changes as well. This is very practical for customisation. Unfortunately, this approach cannot be used for more complex objects (such as tables, surface styles etc.) To change these complex object colours, the style must be modified.

Objects which should not be plotted (alignment tags, parcel segment tags, bellmouth alignments etc.), automatically use the layer: No Plot Objects-C3D. This layer uses the colour 9 per default and it will not plot.
