  1. To create a pipe table, go to the Annotate ribbon and use the Add Tables – Pipe Network – Add Pipe command:

Structure Tables​

  1. To create a structure table, go to the Annotate ribbon and use the Add Tables – Pipe Network – Add Structure command:

Create structure table only for a specific structure type

In certain instances, a table is necessary only for a specific structure type, e.g.: for sewer networks only manholes without house connections need to display in the table. Civil 3D allows for the manual selection of the objects which must be included in the table, but that is time-consuming. The other option is to use the Select Similar or Quick Select command. The workflow below explains the Select Similar command method.

  1. Select a manhole, right-click and select the Select Similar command and then press Escape (Civil 3D will remember the last selection):

  2. Create a structure table, tick Multiple selection and click on the green rectangle icon to select the objects from the drawing:

  3. When prompted to select the structures, press P on the keyboard (this command will invoke the previous selection):

  4. Press Enter to confirm the selection and create the table. The image below displays a sewer network with manholes and house connections, only the manholes are listed in the table:
